Mumtalakat Announces New Board of Gulf Air Holding Company
Under the leadership of HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the new Board of Directors of the Gulf Air Holding Company has been appointed. Led by Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transport and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board, the new Board comprises Samer Majed Aljishi, Raed Abdulla Fakhri, Abdelhakim Khalil Al Mutawa, Shaikh Fahd bin Abdelrahman Al Khalifa, Rishi Kapoor and Ali Moosa Shafeea.
Mumtalakat also announced the appointment of the new Board of Directors of the national carrier, Gulf Air. Chaired by Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Board is composed of Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, Dr Dawood Nassif Dawood, Jameel Ali Al Matrook, Essa Mohamed Najibi, Jean-Christophe Durand and Jassim Hassan Abdelaal.
The Gulf Air Holding Company was established to support the growth of the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom in line with the national economic vision and its aspiration to diversify national revenues in the non-oil sector. The Gulf Air Holding Company includes Gulf Air, the Bahrain Airport Company and the Gulf Aviation Academy in addition to other civil aviation companies.
