Mumtalakat Awards Outstanding Employees Across the Group on the Occasion of National Day
On the occasion of Bahrain’s National Day, Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, awarded the outstanding employees across its portfolio companies in a dedicated luncheon on Thursday 14th December 2017.
Celebrating the efforts and contributions of exceptional employees in over 20 local companies within its portfolio, Mumtalakat hosted a luncheon following a national day campaign which kicked off last month under the theme of “Many stories, one Bahrain.” Reflecting on the culture of collaboration, leadership and excellence fostered within the Group, the campaign was designed to bring forth the stories of the many extraordinary individuals who help make their companies and communities more successful. In addition to slowly revealing the names and stories of the awardees, the campaign also highlighted some of the Group’s companies and their impact.
Commenting on national day, Mahmood H. Alkooheji, Chief Executive Officer of Mumtalakat said, “On this special occasion, we would like to extend our greetings and best wishes to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and to the government and people of Bahrain.”

At Mumtalakat, our mandate is to grow the wealth of the Kingdom and this can only be made possible through the collective contributions of these high calibre employees,” added Alkooheji.
During the luncheon, Mahmood H. Alkooheji congratulated the employees for their relentless pursuit of excellence which ultimately contributes in developing a prosperous nation and awarded them with a special token of appreciation. The winners of the awards included individuals from the following companies: Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), Arab Shipping and Repair Yard (ASRY), Atbahrain, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), Bahrain Flour Mills Company, Bahrain Livestock Company, Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Bahrain International Golf Course Company, Danat, Delmon Poultry Company, Durrat Al Bahrain Company, Edamah, General Poultry Company, Gulf Aluminium Rolling Company (GARMCO), Gulf Aviation Academy, Gulf International Bank, Gulf Air, Gulf Hotels Group, National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Southern Tourism Company.
Since its inception in 2006, Mumtalakat has played an integral role in the development of the local economy. The company contributes to the Kingdom’s National Budget for which it recently announced the distribution of BD 20 million of its profits for two consecutive years.
