Mumtalakat Commemorates Its Group Outstanding Employees
Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, hosted a special luncheon today for its outstanding employees across its portfolio companies on the occasion of Bahrain’s National Day.
As an employer of approximately 14,000 employees across 30 companies in Bahrain, and a key contributor to the local economy, Mumtalakat launched an annual awards programme in 2017 to recognise the employees of excellence within the Group in line with its mission as a holding company. As such, the company commemorated the hard work and efforts of exceptional individuals within its local companies, highlighting their many achievements and outstanding contributions towards the development of the Kingdom in a digital campaign titled “Many Stories, One Bahrain”. Exceptional individuals were nominated by their respective companies for their personal or professional contributions, creativity and innovation, academic development, knowledge transfer and mentoring, effective leadership skills and teamwork.
Commenting on this special occasion, Mahmood H. Alkooheji, Chief Executive Officer of Mumtalakat said, “We would like to extend our greetings and best wishes to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and to the government and people of Bahrain.

During the luncheon, Mahmood H. Alkooheji congratulated the winners for their dedication and hard work. The awardees included individuals from the following companies: Al Jazeera Tourism Company, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), Arab Shipping and Repair Yard (ASRY), Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), Bahrain Flour Mills Company, Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT), Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Bahrain International Golf Course Company, Bahrain Real Estate Investment (Edamah), Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), Delmon Poultry Company, Durrat Al Bahrain Company, General Poultry Company, Gulf Aluminium Rolling Company (GARMCO), Gulf Aviation Academy, Gulf International Bank, Gulf Air, Gulf Hotels Group, Mueller Middle East, Mumtalakat, National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Southern Tourism Company.
