Head of Communications & Public Affairs
Suha joined Mumtalakat in March 2017 as the Head of Communications and Public Affairs. Her main responsibilities are to oversee all external and internal communications across the company and develop strategic communications initiatives in line with the corporate and investment strategies of Mumtalakat that are implemented across all divisions. Suha holds a BA Politics from SOAS, University of London.
Before joining Mumtalakat, she was a consultant to the UN Resident Coordinator and UN Country Team in Bahrain where she supported the development of the UN-Bahrain Strategic Cooperation Framework as well as spearheading a number of national campaigns and programmes.
During 2014-15, she represented the Ministry of Culture and its successor, the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities for the national participation of the Kingdom in Expo Milano 2015. Prior to this, she developed the Manama, Capital of Arab Culture 2012 campaign for the Ministry and produced the first children’s traveling museum in the country.
Between 2011 and 2013, she was a Communications and Outreach consultant to the Court of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister. Between 2010 and 2011, she was a consultant to the Isa Award for Service to Humanity.
She has also worked for international organisations including RCSI-Bahrain and Médecins sans Frontières. In 2011, she was appointed as a consultant to Professor Cherif Bassiouni and was the spokesperson for the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) during its tenure.
